(Santa Monica, CA) – Swedish-songwriter Robyn celebrates her Grammy nomination with the release of The Cherrytree Sessions, an EP of acoustic versions of three of the songs from her highly-acclaimed album, Robyn. The album features new recordings of “Be Mine!,” “With Every Heartbeat” and “Bum Like You” that were all recorded live, and are featured on the web program “The Cherrytree House” (www.thecherrytreehouse.com).

Robyn was one of the most highly-acclaimed albums of 2008, landing in the Top 10 “Best of” polls of both Entertainment Weekly (calling it “the year’s one true pop masterpiece”) and Blender. The album was also rewarded with a Grammy nomination for “Best Electronic/Dance Album.”

The Cherrytree Sessions will be released on February 3, 2009.

I ‘ve been a fan of Robyn since she came out with “Konichiwa Bitches”, but I knew about her already since “Show Me Love”. Her album “Robyn” is one of my favourite albums of the past years.

At tonight’s Swedish Grammies (Grammisgalan), Robyn snagged 2008′s Best Live Act!!! Andreas Kleerup grabbed 3 awards – Newcomer, Best Producer, and Best Composer. Robyn also performed “Dream On” with Christian Falk.
