The mechanical dreamboat we all know as Robyn is getting ready for the release of “Body Talk PT 1,” the first installment in a series of three 2010 album releases. A high pressure decision, for sure. But as I answer the phone, finding her high-pitched buttery voice on the other end, she sounds as calm as a kitten.

This Swedish siren started her audio journey very early in life, being pushed by execs to become the next Christina Aguilera, yet slowly taught them she was anything but. Her new CD is the perfect example of how she eschews the norm. The dynamic pounds and clicks behind each track are beyond anything that exist in my musical library.

From the futuristic hard hits of “Fembot” to the steam-train chug-a-lug cadence of “Dancehall Queen,” each of the songs on the LP are pure new-age pop. ‘Dancing On My Own’ is taken from Robyn’s first album of 2010 (there are 2 more to follow!), the official video is directed by Max Vitali.

The single is available to download from June 14th (June 1st in the US), Body Talk Pt. 1, the album which also includes Fembot and None Of Dem (with Röyksopp), is in stores on June 14th on CD and Download, Pre-orders are already available here.

Robyn appeared on the talk show Skavlan (SVT) in Sweden, it aired on Friday April 16 – she talked about and performed her new song Fembot. Check out the embedded video.

“It’s really about .. I don’t know, I think it’s a song about human feelings and like, I don’t know, I think it’s really about a 30 year old woman asking herself if she wants to get pregnant or not. That’s what I think it’s about.” – talking about the meaning of Fembot

According to Presse Peter Robyn will release her new single “Dancing On My Own” and the first part of the album “Body Talk” on June 18th in Germany via Ministry Of Sound.

Tour dates have been confirmed as well: 12th May in Berlin (Berghain) and 25th June in Cologne (Gloria).

According to Interscope, Robyn’s Body Talk PT.1 will be released not on June 14th – but on June 15th

Due to an abundance of great songs bursting to get out, 2010 will see Robyn release not one, not two, but three albums! The first, Body Talk PT 1, will be released on June 15th.

Robyn explains: “I got all these great songs so why not? It’s been 5 years since “Robyn” and I didn’t want to wait with a release until they are all recorded, so I decided to start putting them out right away. I also can’t wait to play live again and this enables me to tour and record at the same time. I just want to keep making music.”

Robyn has worked with the hottest producers around to make these ambitious plans a reality. Diplo, Royksopp, Kleerup and Klas Ahlund (amongst others) are all on board.
